Heavy rain in Chikmagalur district: Orange alert, holiday announced for schools



Chikkamagaluru: A holiday has been announced for Anganwadis and schools in three taluks due to heavy rains in the district.

Holiday has been declared for Anganwadis and schools across Koppa, Sringeri Kalasa Taluk. Similarly, District Collector Meena Nagaraj has ordered to declare holiday in Jagar, Vastare, Khandya, Aldur and Avati hoblis.

Orange alert has been announced in Chikmagalur district due to incessant rain in many parts of the district.
